There's no shame in being sensible and not struggling. As long as you hit your target, that's all that matters.

Yeah did the 40, then later did 30 closely followed by  another 10, which leaves an easily done 20 before bed time. Cool I could easily do 100 in a short time with only a 30 second rest betwen each block of 20  methinks? and may try it out of daftness to relieve the boredom one day? Big Grin

Credit to you Vinny. TBH I've never thought of pushups as a method of alleviating boredom, nor ever will!

Well.that was an invigorating experience! Big Grin
I decided to do all my 100 push ups for today in a short period of time (less than 1/2 an hour) in blocks of 20 at a time with short rests in betwen. Rolleyes

Started fully clothed, then the jumper came off, then the tea shirt and finally the trousers came off Cry I am now sitting in my underpants,(mabe too much information!) sweating and panting, but chuffed to bits I was able to do it. Cool

I used the push up board I bought from Aldi which depending on where you slot the handles can excercise your triceps, back, shoulders or chest. I did so many on various positions of handles.

Now it's time to go upstairs, have a shower and get changed ready for Boxing and Barre this evening! I need to wear shorts for Barre as there is a lot of leg stretching and I find tracky bottoms or dance pants limit my movement! Huh

Following on from yesterday successful routine I decided to do the 100 press ups all at once, this time within 10 minutes. 25 each block with a short rest in between. Cool Kept my trousers on this time but did shed my tee shirt after the first 50. Rolleyes

I much prefer doing it this way as it gets it out the way so I can enjoy the time after, knowing I have done my lot for the day! Smile

It worked out well becuase the air fyer went 'ding 'meaning my fish was cooked, just as I finished! Rolleyes

It's been a few days since I posted on this thread and I thought I would let you know I am still percevering! Rolleyes I have got into a rythm of trying to complete the 100 press ups in as little time as possible in a single session. I thought it would get easier as I went on but that is only minimally true? Huh

The time of day I do them has varied also because my frame of mind is different from day to day. I usually do them after one of Kato's walks but if the weather is horrible outdoors the last thing I fancy doing on return is press ups. I also like to do them on an empty stomach as sometimes after a meal all I want to do is chill for a time.
I feel it must be doing me a bit of good, but my weight has went up this month and I would like to think this is muscle build up?, but somehow I doubt it.

Into February I will probably carry on but to a lesser degree?

Lastly, a big Thankyou to all my sponsors as I have now exceded the goal I set myself of raising £150 for cancer research and still have six days to go! Cool

Just finished my 100 push ups for today in four blocks of 25. I have been putting off doing them because a double session of boxing and a very hard session of Barre last night has left me aching. I know the Barre excercises are good for the pelvic floor but doing a lot of 'split' type excercises last night have had their effects felt today. Cry
The push up board with handles has multiple positions so I used three different ones finishing with a normal hands on the floor pressups. I have found the position that is supposed to strengthen the back is the easiest for me, which is good, as the archery I am doing relies on back/shoulder muscles! Cool

Only three days to gp before challenge is finished! Smile

Interesting time this morning at a seated excercise session. First of all I was given a tenner off one of the women to add to my sponsor fund for Cancer! Cool

Next, after class, I decided to do my 100 press ups while I was there and this meant another three people there decided to sponsor me! Sneaky eh? Rolleyes

I set a target of £150 initially and have now reached £200 plus £50 gift aid so I am well chuffed! Big Grin

Two days to go.

That's amazing Vinny, both the pushups and the funds.
