Hi all, I have just lumbered myself with a challenge for Cancer research of 100 push ups a day for all of January 2026. I normally do 10 push ups at once so will need to do these throughout the days. Hopefully I will be able to increase the amount I am doing at once each day so I won't need to do them as ofter?

I have a Just Giving page which I would like you to add to if, and only IF, you could afford it? I have started with a £30 donation but any amount would be appreciated.
I will of course be contacting family and friends through what'sapp and also the team I do my excercises with once we start again on 6th January. 3100 press ups are a tall order so wish me luck in getting my goal of £150 for Cancer research.

Many thanks in anticipation and I will add the link for any donations.

When the clock strikes midnight I shall celebrate with ten pushups, ten more wnen I get up in the morning then ten more after Kato's walk, ten before lunch, ten after lunch, ten before teatime, ten after teatime ten before 7.00pm, ten before supper and ten before I go to sleep! Smile Thats the plan anyway Rolleyes . If I can manage more at one time I may adjust, but always making sure I get through the 100!
When I get roughly half way through the month I intend making a video where hopefully I will have improved from 10 to up to maybe 50 at a time?. I used to be able to do 50 at once a few years ago so hopefully I can work up to this?
Initially it will be in tens but hopefully by the end of the month it will be more at a time?

The planned timetable of press ups went out the window, but It's  1.00pm on my first day and I am 60 press ups in, so not doing too bad. Smile Wrists are feeling it a bit and slighly achy biceps. but it can only get easier as the days go on (surely?) and I can do better than ten at a time. Rolleyes

Still plugging away there! I get some strange looks off Kato when I suddenly drop down during his walk and do ten press ups in a field or the woods! Rolleyes I always look around before doing this to make sure their iis no one about............but I am bound to get caught out at some point! Smile
Sixty done today up til now and some of them were a block of twenty, just to see if I could! Huh

Main problem is still the wrists which ache a bit but hopefully as time goes on it will get easier.

Apologies for keeping adding to this thread but it is mainly for my benefit so I can look back and see my progress.............so I may be back daily or every couple of days! Blush

Thanks Veggie. No, I don't wear wrist supports but have been advised to bend my wrists the opposite way that I do the press ups? So I am sitting here doing a Max Bygraves impression! Seems like a nice boy! Big Grin

You're to be commended Vinny, I struggle to do one pushup let alone 100. Keep us in the loop as to how its going.

Starting to get a bit of a regimen now!
Press ups when I awake and press ups just before bedtime in my pj's!
The other two definites are outdoor press ups on both of kato's walks.
Done  60 up til now today and finding the blocks of 10 reasonably easy now. Tomorrow may try a couple of 15's?
Wrists are starting to get hardened to it as well! Cool

Back to my main excercises tomorrow with a 30 minute upper body pump and a 45 minute abs workout! Can't wait and really looking forward to getting back to regular excercising after a leg quad injury prior to Christmas and then of course the holidays on top of that!
