I have a couple of those too - think they were from Wilkos.
As for alternative uses, a  plastic cutlery drainer is very useful for keeping small garden tools in, on your "potting bench". Mine has various dibbers, pencils,markers, seed labels, snips, scissors and a small paint scraper.

You're right on there, I'd forgotten I'd repurposed them in the gh. You get so used to seeing them you forget they once had a previous life.  I use an old soup ladle for dishing out weed tea/comfrey juice into the watering can.
