Hacked a third off my large beef joint and have it cooking in the oven for my dinner. The plan was to use large joinr for three Sunday dinners but I was away this weekend so I'm having my Sunday dinner on Tuesday!

Aubergine curry tonight Aubergines will be main veg to help use up a glut.
For dinner just now was cheese and beetroot sandwiches with lots of gardeners delight followed by a comice pear and a jonagold apple. The tomatoes were like eating sweets and the apple like sugar lumps. All I can think is that all the sunshine this year has sweetened everything or I'm growing on top of a sugar mine.

B. Toast & strawberry jam & a banana
L. Chickpea crispbreads with prawn mayo & tomatoes. An apple
D. Chips and curry sauce from a £5 TGTG takeaway meal. (Not as generous as the first one - popcorn chicken, jumbo battered sausage and a small sausage, Large chips, curry sauce & gravy,). Would have cost about £17.

I am stuggling to find lambs liver these days so bought a pack of frozen liver & bacon with onion from Farmfoods! I had this with a YS cauliflower cheese for supper. The liver was horrible and the cauli cheese wasnt much better so the hunt goes on?

They usually have lamb's liver in Morries - but I guess you've looked there.
