Just posting this to kick start this thread.
Hottest day of the year yesterday and likely to be warm today as well. It must be warm as OH hasn't lit the woodburner.
That's it.
Bye.

Our weather station topped out at 35 yesterday, but it does read a bit high! (In March it claimed 55 degrees ) Closer to 29 I think which is about right for the time of year. Might well get 40 this year
The woodburner has been unused for a week!!

4 hours rain in 8 weeks here, been very warm apart from one Sunday where winter returned, this years up and down weather has made all my autumn onion sets bolt, never mind, slicing and freezing awaiting them

We had our first drop of rain last night for, don't know how long!. Two of the 3 linked water butts from the garage roof are empty - and they usually fill very quickly - overflowing a couple of months back.
The good news is the GH has stayed above 10 overnight for a week - 14.1 last night.
No more fleecing of my tender bits now!!

Had to report to taking some water up to the allotment this morning, the butts nearly empty getting down to the sludge. My autumn down onions have also bolted have bent them over to see if they will plump up a bit, any chance? or should I take them out and plant up the ones I’ve grown from seed to replace them?
