2025 - What I sowed today

Sown in the salad bar spinach, peas, beetroot bull’s blood & red salad bowl.

Lots of pumpkins and squashes

Sowed some squash: Uchiki Kuri, butternut, blue banana and cantaloupe melon and 4 short rows of carrots: berlicum 2.

Direct sown a few more Bombay bronze cockscomb.

Due to poor germination. I guessed the germination rate isn’t going to get any better by keeping the seeds any longer. So chucked the rest of the packets in a tray. Sunflower cut flower mix, aster balloon mix, aster china peony mix & flowering carrot.

Resowed several types of flowers. Same strategy as SC - no point saving packs with no germination, just used most of my packs of those varieties in hopes that warmer weather and better compost mix will help.

In the heated propagator.

Black Beauty,  Romanesco and Fruit Rond Courgettes.
Beth Alpha cucumbers.
Put some parsnips seeds to chi.t

Sown sunflowers. 6 different varieties .

Put all the old courgette seeds on damp paper to test for germination. IF they all sprout I'll be looking for room to grow 100+ courgettes.

My courgettes are slow only one has germinated up to yet.

I'm putting in some pre-chitted parsnip seeds today depending on the rain.
