I've been really trying to remember to take photos this year. Even taking my photogenic trug instead of chucking things in old dirty planner pots to bring home.

Thank you both   . That’s great I’m so pleased you didn’t say Dahlia  . ( I just can’t be @rsed digging up & replanting every year , sorry Scarlet  ). I’m quite a fan of farmer Grace. I’ll add it to my wish list   . I’m not buying anymore plants until I can put them straight in the ground. No harm making lists, right   .

No harm at all. Nor in seed swaps, buying a few seeds, an accidental plant purchase... I can imagine how satisfying it will be to start getting things in the ground at home!

Finally decided to take some more photos of the plot. Last year was so tough, between the weather and the unwilling toddler, I just didn't take many photos. It's mostly soil at the moment, but things are in a fairly plantable state, which is positive. Nevermind that the warm weather is not to the liking of the sweet peas or that the rhubarb is full of holes. Really hoping for a better year than last year on the plot.

Edit so I can comment on the photos, now that I can see what was successfully attached. We're trying to stay no-dig as much as possible, so there's lots of cardboard, compost, and manure (although not as much as in 2023). The weeds get piled up on the cardboard, but they'll be composted and then some form of mulch will go on top. I'm trying to plant into the areas with older, more broken down compost first. If need be, I'll just pull the cardboard that didn't break down out and take my chances with the weeds rather than the slugs. They really killed me in last year's wet.

The cold frame and blowaway are full of little seedlings. I'm hoping they'll put on some growth and be ready for planting out mid May. Last year they just stayed tiny - combination of my cheap compost and the poor weather - so they were destroyed by slugs when they went out. This year I've mixed cheap peat-free compost with perlite and a single bag of all purpose compost that I think has peat (bought cheap and didn't realize about the peat :/).
