IN came 2 bars of expensive Italian soap ( just in time as my mega soap purchase a few years ago has almost run out. I have been supplementing it with liquid soap gel and a few other freebies. Don't want you to think I rarely wash Smile)
Also IN, 3 bin bags of cupboard clearouts from one of my regulars (the one who gives me posh cakes). I'm still sorting it out - what to keep and what to pass on. I'll be keeping the tins of baked beans, soup, sardines, chickpeas, sweetcorn, pasta and basmati rice, lots of pasta sauces and other sauces and dressings, pickled onions, two taco kits, several sachets of flavourings, stock cubes and gravy granules, spices and herbs (will replace anything older that I already have), tub of sea salt, tinned rice pudding, condensed milk, dessicated coconut, blancmange powder, chocolate penguins and two bags of Cadbury's Treats (slightly squashed - the Flakes are extremely Flakey!).
I'll be passing on the "Bulls-Eye Dark Beer BBQ sauce, a bottle of "Winiary Przyprawa" which seems to be some sort of Maggi type seasoning & 3 tins of Mulligatawny soup although I may see if Ted likes it first!
Its time I had a cupboard clearout of my own!

Another regular having a cupboard & freezer clearout. Big Grin
Fresh salmon fillets in a sweet chilli sauce (tonight's dinner), chicken pieces, plus frozen salmon and fish fillets, chicken portions, minced beef, icecreams, various bread things & wraps, more stuff but I can't remember all of it!
Also IN came some paperbacks.
But its not all one way traffic - I gave away the soup and sauces, stockcubes. chocolate sauce, I was given yesterday and some books and magazines.

IN today - a bag of dried Wakame seaweed, some garlic & herb croutons and an apple slicer corer thingy (not the spiral gadget) (which I don't have much use for) but the donor insisted I take it. I'd given her a carrier bagful of apples and she didn't want this gadget herself as, apparently, her Mother had 3 of them! Even I'm not that bad!!.
Also OUT went one of the Dyson vacuum cleaners - that's a bit more space gained in the understairs cupboard.

I've just bought a second hand Dyson 25 exactly the same as my broken one, very cheaply off eBay. Hoovered all Kato's hairs off the carrpet with it and the flap wouldn't open to dump the hairs out! Cry Luckily my old hoover had an motor problem and the part that isn't opening on bought one was a staight swap! Cool

IN today came two large compost bins/daleks. I'm dotting them around the garden so that there's always a bin close by.
Also IN from one of my regular donors - fresh salmon in sweet chilli sauce, asparagus, two packs of tenderstem broccoli and a pack of grated mozzarella. Should keep me fed until October 1st. Big Grin

If not for you would all that go to waste? It baffles me the profligacy (there's a fine word) of some.

I expect they'd be offered on the FB group I'm on and somebody would snap them up but, I agree, I can't understand why somebody would buy them and not use. or freeze, them - especially the salmon as its not cheap. She offers stuff to me first, before offering it to everyone in the group. I've been building up a "reputation" for taking everything, whatever the expiry date ......and, always turning up when I say I will. Some people are picky and unreliable. Not me Big Grin My next task is to actually use it. That's for October.
