I was in Morries yesterday and couldn't find a Sunday roast for one, under £8.50 which was too much for me. I went to the meat counter to get them to cut me a small joint of brisket off? No brisket, only silverside so I asked for £5.00's worth. £5.01 wasn't a bad guess so I came home wtih that.
Cooked it fo 1.5 hours yesterday and 1/2 an hour today. The smell was so nice, I said "Sod it for Sunday dinner I'll have it now"
I cut it up on the chopping board, poured the 'goodness' (as Helen used to call it) over it and ate half of it with some horseradish sauce. I'll have the rest, cold, with cranberry sauce or even some of my home made blackcurrant jam?
Sorry if my explicitity? has bored you! I'm not really!
