2025 - What I did today

Sorry to hear about P's fall. Hope he hasn't fractured his wrist - its easy to do. Don't ask how I know. Anyway, stop working him so hard!

You know I'm gonna have to ask......

After 10 days of discomfort he went to A&E for an Xray on GP advice. Upshot is he fractured it. Luckily only in a splint not a cast, but he's grumpy (again) because there's so much he wants to get on with but can't. I keep telling him it could be a lot worse. Not a lot of sympathy from me.

Sorry I missed all of this discussion. I must of been working. Glad P is ok. But no sympathy from me either. He should have gone to the Dr’s or A&E sooner. Could have so easily made it worse by being so stubborn ( men! ) , especially as none of us are spring chickens anymore. Everything takes that little bit longer to heal. So tell him to dry his eyes. It’s not working   . 
(I am pleased he’s ok and not done any permanent damage) 

He ain't a spring chicken, more like a dying duck  To be fair to P, whilst it hurt at the time it seemed to be getting better every day, until it wasnt. We're all conditioned to not bother a&e if it's not life threatening,  but the nurse practitioner said the same as you, an unplanned collapse and a fall with a possible damage, I should have taken him in. Lesson learned.... maybe. Even presenting at A&E with written GP instructions there was one receptionist trying to fob him off, he was having none of it.
