I have tried, but they got frosted which was so disheartening. All winter growing nicely only to be brought down by February frosts.
I might try some chard and carrots in MFB rather than in the border, as they're in the way there come spring. Then again, I liked the few Snak Hero peas (the few that survived the heatwave) it might be worth trying a few in a pot. They don't grow tall like Bijou or Carouby. Maybe I could get in there first for a change  Tongue
Gardening is an excuse not to do housework
