I bought loads of cheap meat on Easter deals. Legs of lamb were too much for me to eat in one go so I proceded to Halve them. To do this I used the chopping block in the garden I use for chopping sticks, I used a bow saw and meat clever to chop through the bone and a filleting knife to cut the flesh. My stick chopping block is now a bloody mess and God knows what the neighbours thought I was hacking away at!
Funny that, I bought a whole leg (the half legs weren't on offer) and was quizzing P how to cut in half. He wasn't too sure whether his saw, all stained and oily would do the trick. Plan B is to cook it whole and freeze the rest or de-bone the whole thing and then divide the meat.
