Question for the ladies

It's called Achenbach Syndrome (or 'paroxysmal finger haematoma' if you dislike eponymous syndromes as much as I do). It's very common, especially in women (I've seen figures that suggest more than 10% of women will experience it at some point). It's supposed to be more common in people over 40, but I've had several episodes since I was in my early twenties.

Thanks. That’s very interesting. It’s nice to put a name to my freaky fingers. I’ll not hold you to anything Proserpina     . I wasn’t expecting any medicine advice from a gardening forum   , but I really do appreciate it. Just want to see how many fellow weirdos were here.
