I’m guessing as they were all new boys, you didn’t get any scaff boards?

The scaff boys won[t be back until the work is finished. It would be a bit hazardous to "borrow" some from the scaffolding that's here.

Seriously up here you wouldn’t have had anyone turn up for over 6 months and they would have taken at least a fortnight to do the job.
To be fair (ish) they wouldn’t have 5 of them for one job either. They were still working at 7.30 - up on the scaffolding with torches! Goodness knows what they were doing. Its below freezing here too.
I offered them tea of coffee but, there's no way I could make 7 mugs of coffee - each to different specification - so I made 2 flasks of black coffee and gave them sugar and milk so they could make their own. Somewhere out there, in the dark is a flask of coffee and 6 mugs. I expect I'll find them tomorrow! Hope they're not up on the roof.
(I found one flask, the milk and a mug, in case you think my maths is wrong!).

Latest News! The roofers have finished and have left the premises. Not sure when the scaffolders will be back to dismantle..........and, I found the missing flask, mugs and sugar but they'd eaten all the biscuits!
They tried to persuade me that another bit of ridge needed replacing (and they're undoubtedly right ). However, I'll have that done when I'm ready. I can't face having workmen around any longer.

Will you not need to pay for the scaffolders to come back so that the roofers can fix the other bit of ridge? I got 'Dry Ridge' put on mine to save all the faff of cementing ridge tiles on!

The scaffolding would have to be moved to access the top ridge. There's no rush, AFAIK to repair this bit of the roof. It can wait.
