True, but I'm not always entirely honest about what I've bought nor record the veg from the freezer. I'm usually very methodical about recording purchases in my gardening notes, but I've been very laxwhat with all the upheaval here (I'm not even sure where the book is!). I might see what I can do for June.

I'm only recording fresh produce - not frozen - as that was too complicated for me.
Nobody's going to accuse you of dishonesty so do the best you can.

It never crossed my mind I'd be accused of anything except madness, you folks are so nice. As for the freezer/bottled stuff, I just count 50p a portion. I do feel slightly ashamed to admit to buying anything from T&M & Co though, but assuage my guilt as I only do so when it's free p&p. I've got 20kg poultry pellets coming from T&M with a gloat in the back of my mind at the cost it must be causing them but free to me and surprisingly it was cheaper than anywhere locally. I was astounded at the increase in price since I last bought a 15kg bag @. £6.95 in 2022(maybe 23), it's £15.99 now. My June expenditure is going to be sky high.

Like Veggie I never record anything from the freezes. Because it’s was recorded as fresh produce at harvest.

I only record when we eat it (if I recorded all the courgettes/beans and cucs at harvest, many would be giveaways and some probably end up in the compost. So either way my conscience is clear, I only record once.......if I record at all.

So either way my conscience is clear, I only record once.......if I record at all. You may not eat it yourself or it may end up wasted. But you’ve still grown it and it would have still cost you money if bought.
I count everything I’ve harvested. Irrelevant if we’re consuming it or someone else.
I want to know what I produce, not what I eat.
