Cake waiter menu..... a variation a theme

I said it was easy.

Today's puzzle:-
Find the combination of adding and Multiplying Y and Z numbers that give the following answers:

=36
= 31
=55
= 62

The Y numbers are 8,7,9,5
The z numbers are 2,6,3,4

Well looked at this and not sure of the task: some X numbers + x some Y numbers?

9 x 4 = 36; (7+8+9) +(2+6+4) = 36 ; 5 x 6 + 2 + 4 = 36
(7+8+5) +(2+6+3) = 31
7 + 8 x 6 = 55
8 x (3 + 4) + 6 = 62

I copied the Question verbatim but I agree that its not clear what is needed - it looks complicated but its easy!
Perhaps I've been given a Children's Puzzle pad.
