Apparently, it's cockney rhyming slang: treacle tart = sweetheart. I didn't know that, just looked it up...

I watch the plants - you need the seed head/ pod of whatever you are saving to dry as much as possible while on the plant.
That does mean that some plants will stop producing as it has already set seed.
I often use wedding favour bags to bag the seed head to stop it bursting open/or all the seed blowing away.
