I'm surprised how quickly that mountain of soap offcuts I bought are going down. Rolleyes Gave a few as crimbo prezzies but still had a load left, which has now whittled down to a few left. Smile

I'd estimate a bar a week in the shower? Mine are lasting because I'm picking up soap and liquid soap when they're on the free site. Big Grin

If anyone wants to try the homemade deodorant, Lidl have Coconut Oil on special this weekend. https://www.lidl.co.uk/p/super-weekend/d...oil/p51421
Its £1.29. Bicarb was 57p in Aldi this week - probably the same in Lidl. Not sure how much cornflour/arrowroot is as I had plenty of cornflour.

The deodorant has firmed up now that the weather is cooler. Coconut oil melts at 25C I've found out.
I made half the recipe quantities and I've used about half of that in almost 3 weeks. I'm really impressed with it and won't be buying anything else again Big Grin

Washing up sponges - the sort that are made from plastic sponge with a green scrubby bit on one side.
A while back I acquired a "Seep" version made from wood cellulose "sponge" and a loofah side for scrubbing. All of it is compostable. It worked well until the loofah peeled off. They're sold by the major supermarkets at £2.75 each, or you can buy them from Seep direct for slightly less if you subscribe. https://theseepcompany.com/products/12-m...ge-stash-1
Now £2.75 is more than I want to pay for this sort of thing so I've found a cheaper alternative made by Spontex. The composition of the sponge is the same as Seep ( wood cellulose) but the green scrubby bit is made from recycled plastic bottles........and its only £1. Its also sold unwrapped and is in Morries. https://www.spontex.co.uk/product/unwrap...e-scourer/

I've bought 5 Big Grin
