I need to find some seaweed extract first, then I'm going to give it a go. Big Grin
I thought most of the tomato feeds were seaweed based? Huh
I don't know because I don't use them. I use Hotbin compost tea (its FREE). Big Grin

Filled a terracotta bulb bowl with compost.
Found some  vintage Groworganic Seaweed tablets, put 2 tablets in a 2 litre milk container, Added 2 teaspoons of sea salt and some rainwater.
Put the pot inside a small animal cage which holds water and gave the compost a good soak with the seaweed solution.
My plan is to keep watering it for a week or so, then sow some of the new samphire seeds.
I'm going to prepare a couple of small pots, and sow the old seeds in those - because, as we know, every seed deserves a chance. Wink
I have samphire seedings. Big Grin Didn't tell you  earlier as I thought they might have been weeds in the compost.

That’s great news.
I’ve been waiting for mine to flower but not seen any yet. They seem to be starting to die back a bit now as well.
I must re visit the link we put here . So I know what to do.

My samphire update

It’s done very well I think. I’ve not harvested much from it this year but I’ve had 3 meals from it. The plant  that’s looking most dead is the one I didn’t harvest from at all,  Deliberately . So I could save seeds from it. I’ll know next year just to harvest from everything.

Bit of a close up of the buds/ seed heads ? I’m not really sure

Another photo of flowers. Very difficult to photograph. So so tiny! No idea how or when seeds will be ready. Not sure I’m going to manage to see the let alone collect them.

You can eat it raw add it to a salad (obviously that’s not going to happen Big Grin  ) . I usually either just add to a stir fry for last couple minutes. Or steam it for about 3 minutes. A lot of people just pan fry it very quickly in butter. As I’m not a fan of butter I don’t do this.

I bought some YS Sea Bream tonight with some type of rounds of butter to cook them in. I'll just add it to the pan just before serving once fish is cooked! Be interesting to see if it adds any flavour? Huh
