RE: Tomatoes beginning with P - Small chilli - 21-02-2026

I’ve grown Pendulina for the last few years. As it’s the only variety I have that grows well in a hanging basket. It produces really well and I’d say a fairly classic tom flavour.

Finally I have a variety you’re not listed! It’s a miracle! Piglet Willie . Unfortunately no idea what it’s like. Another that’s in the waiting room.

Actually, I did have them but I've thrown them out! PW was an obnoxious member of another place and I can't bear to have anything to do with him. https://www.adaptiveseeds.com/product/vegetables/tomatoes/tomato-pigletwillies-french-black-organic/

Well that description isn’t narrowing down my choices of who the seeds came from  Big Grin . I’m still going to give them a go at some point. They sound like my kind of tomato. Thanks for the link. That helps.

Piglet Willie's French Black is lovely. It's a medium sized tomato, with chocolate brown skin and good flavour. I only wanted to grow it because of the name, but it's been good enough to grow several times. Most of you should already have it from a previous seed circle.

I grew Paul Robeson last year. It performed really well, lots of large, sweet, dark-fleshed fruits. I've started a couple more plants this year too.

There were seeds in the Seedswap in 2021 (if you're a hoarder).

Yes I'm a hoarder. I either I didn't partake in 2021 or they missed me out, but I will have another look, although I'm fairly sure I don't have it. I didn't gow it 2021.
Update Ii did partake, but no I don't recall Paul Robeson or Black Vermisillage. No sign of either in my box. No matter.

Must admit I don’t remember getting them either. Definitely not in my collection now and don’t remember sowing them. Doesn’t mean I didn’t get them though. Could just be a senior moment.
