Why? - Small chilli - 19-04-2025
So I added some more crochet to my sales barrow today after work. I discovered some **** had ripped a clump out of the lemon balm I have for sale. I say for sale. I just ask for a donation for any of the plants. They could have had the whole pot for anything 1p and above.
I need to add more compost to cover the roots again tomorrow. [attachment=8172]
Why do that? It’s just a bit of a **** move.

Disheartening isn't it. I feel or you. Look on a little bit of bright side. If they plant it, in years to come they'll be invaded by lemon balm. Maybe you could pot up some grape hyacinths and they'll nick those too. Retribution then. I'm surprised, in your rural area, that there are those sort of people about, but I suppose location doesn't necessarily mean honest.

. Usually when I get some of my crochet nicked. It doesn’t worry me to much. It’s bound to happen as there are low life **** everywhere. And it’s not often . It’s the people that under pay for things that really **** me off. Because I’m under charging by a long way as it is. Lots of friends and the occasional customer at the barrow, tell me I should be putting my prices up. This ripping part of a plant out of its pot, has me really really **** off. I’m obviously a lot more protective of my plants than my crochet.
Just so you’re not confused plants and cut flowers are donation. All crochet is priced.

That's unbelievable, SC! It's impossible to fathom how the minds of such people work. But some folk will steal anything.
A friend had a quite nice table they no longer wanted, so they put it on the end of their drive with a notice that said "Table for Free!" Nobody took it. They changed the notice to "Table for sale £10". By the next morning the table had gone, no money left.

I'm on main road - so I knew I would get some stolen, but it makes me furious, my husband more so
They dont realise he can see them - always women. They s*** themselves when he pops out and asks if they have paid just as they are getting in their car! One didnt have any money and was so embarrassed.
