But no sympathy from me either. He should have gone to the Dr’s or A&E sooner. Could have so easily made it worse by being so stubborn ( men! ) , especially as none of us are spring chickens anymore. Everything takes that little bit longer to heal. So tell him to dry his eyes. It’s not working(19-09-2025, 08:08 PM)Veggie Wrote: Sorry to hear about P's fall. The amount of time I’ve heard stories like this. Especially with some of our local ones. And they have absolutely no authority to say if a patient should be seen or not or to make a diagnosis . They’re merely pen pushers that get way above their station. Very pleased P stood his ground.(26-09-2025, 12:25 PM)Small chilli Wrote:(26-09-2025, 11:49 AM)JJB Wrote:Sorry I missed all of this discussion. I must of been working. Glad P is ok. RE: 2025 - What I did today - Small chilli - 26-09-2025 My Nan broke her wrist every time she was pregnant. Which was 3 times. First time is unlucky Second time odd coincidence Third time is just weird RE: 2025 - What I did today - JJB - 26-09-2025 (26-09-2025, 01:13 PM)Veggie Wrote: Sorry to be right, for once! Are feeling quite well? ![]() RE: 2025 - What I did today - Veggie - 26-09-2025 P has my sympathy, not just becuase of his wrist injury, but because he has to put up with you. ![]() ![]() RE: 2025 - What I did today - Small chilli - 26-09-2025 Got round to tidying up the flower containers that got blown over in the last storm. One was in need of almost a full repotting. Then all relocated on to a pallet with weed suppressant under it. Rather than drowning in long grass. Which is where they got dumped after being quickly thrown back into their pot and upright in the middle of the storm. Weeded another flower bed and the ditch around it. And cut back anything that needed it. Spent a while watching the bees. Acquired some plants off local gardening group. Bob will collet next time he passes ( he doesn’t know yet ) . Learned how to use the digger [attachment=8494] . Two big lumps now removed. Bob moved the one next to the fence. Collected a bit of seed, harvested a bit. RE: 2025 - What I did today - Veggie - 27-09-2025 Dug up some Elephant Garlic for a swap, did some weeding and clearing then went out to deliver them. Met a lovely household, toured their garden and was truly envious of the quaility of their vegetables. First time growers too. They must have very green fingers. Huge cabbages, broccoli, loads of beans and various squash. Gigantic rhubarb in its first year since planting. Made me wonder why I couldn't do the same. RE: 2025 - What I did today - Bren - 27-09-2025 Dug then filled a bean trench with Dalek compost. Added more Dalek compost to what will be my next years Brassics bed. RE: 2025 - What I did today - Veggie - 28-09-2025 I'm still clearing a patch that used to be known as Victoria Rhubarb and Stanley Blackcurrant's Home. Its become very overgrown with couch grass and seedling trees (oak, ash & hazel) as well as the usual bramble, ferns and other sundry nuisance plants. Last night's overnight rain worked wonders on loosening the soil and I've been able to dig out a number of nuisances. Amazed to see that lots of the rhubarb plants are sporting new leaves. Its a bit early for that! I want to move most of them so that they're all in one bed, instead of being scattered around, Need to find a suitable spot and some good compost to fill it with. |
