I found some lettuce seedlings hiding so they're now planted in the GH border.

Its been perfect weather for gardening. I've been cutting down the mint, lemon balm, sweet rocket, raspberries and anything else that looked past their best . Pulled up montbretia and couch grass. Unfortunately, nobody would spot the difference as it took all afternoon to do one little patch.
A week of this weather and you might see an improvement - might. Big Grin

Afte helping my yougest son to move home many months ago  I volunteeed to take away a chest of drawes that had fell apart duing the move. They have been in the bak of my little Corsa ever since. Yesterday I was at my eldest son's helping him take out a large bush. He had garden trellises which he needed to get rid of so I said " Bung them in the car and I will get rid"
I was then struggling to get in the car so today I took on the lofty job of emptying it.The is now an 'echo's' inside as I was so used to it being full of crap! Rolleyes

General pottering and weeding outside, hoeing bittercress and groundsel before it gets established and dug out thistles, dandelions etc. Found some strawberry plants in the wrong place so dug those out, with a view to replanting them somewhere. Got distracted by mining bees. The fruitcage is like honeycomb with all their holes. The soil they excavate is the colour of that at least 9" down a yellower type to topsoil. Spent half an hour or more communing with the bees and watching them work and disappear down their respective holes. I have to be mindful of the bees when I'm weeding, it would be such a shame to ruin their excavations. I wonder if it's a single hole they dig or whether they branch out underground.

Emptied a Dalek, that composts for the GH border, then moved almost all of the contents from another Dalek into the empty one.

More de-brambling and dead grass removal - in a different patch today. I like a bit of variety.

Mostly clearing out tomato plants from the GH. Lots of whitefly which makes it rather unpleasant.

I got to play in the garden. I weeded the ditch around 3 beds then weeded the actual beds and cut back and removed dead where needed. Hope to repeat the practice on a few more beds tomorrow. Also helped empty a bag of gravel ( I cut the bag so gravel could fall out, Bob sat in the digger and moved some levers).

You know I'm gonna have to ask......

After 10 days of discomfort he went to A&E for an Xray on GP advice. Upshot is he fractured it. Luckily only in a splint not a cast, but he's grumpy (again) because there's so much he wants to get on with but can't. I keep telling him it could be a lot worse. Not a lot of sympathy from me.

Sorry I missed all of this discussion. I must of been working. Glad P is ok. But no sympathy from me either. He should have gone to the Dr’s or A&E sooner. Could have so easily made it worse by being so stubborn ( men! ) , especially as none of us are spring chickens anymore. Everything takes that little bit longer to heal. So tell him to dry his eyes. It’s not working  Big Grin .
(I am pleased he’s ok and not done any permanent damage)
