Followed by lemon cheesecake RE: 2025 - Today's Recipe - JJB - 02-07-2025 Last night was YS salmon en croute reduced from £6.99 to £1.74 with DFB, tenderstem broccoli, roasted courgettes & MT. I think tonight will be crispy prawns with sweet sour sauce and a stir fry. RE: 2025 - Today's Recipe - Vinny - 02-07-2025 Fnished up doing my trout in the oven yesterday. I filleted it and skinned it and didn't want it falling apart in the frying pan. The fillets were so big I had to chop them in half so I had four pieces! It was the nicest trout I have had for a while, lovely pinky/orange colour and the pin bones came out very easily before cooking! Today will be smash burgers with a beef/pork mince mix I got on yellow sticker last night. I have never used this mix before for smashburgers so it will be interesting to see how it works, and whether Kato and I like it? You live and learn though and I reckon the two meat mix would be better suited to spag bol? RE: 2025 - Today's Recipe - Vinny - 03-07-2025 Big change to todays menu. Before I went shopping (and to free up freezer space) I stuck a frozen pork joinrt in the slow cooker, on low. Whilst out shopping my Daughter and I had a meal in Wetherspoons. I had fish, chips & mushy peas. On returning home I upped the slow cooker to high and will have pulled/sliced pork & apple for Ron. Carb overload today with the chips and fish batter so will have to behave myself for the next few days!
