They like a lot of water and go limp quite quickly. I'm always forgetting to water mine!

How big before we split them. Or are all the babies just part of one plant?

I won't be splitting these as they're all growing off the same old stem. Big Momma snail has several clusters of leaves in a clump. In theory, I could split the clumps and replant them - a bit like splitting a perennial plant - or rhubarb.

Mummy leaf in water has roots and the leaf pinned on top of compost in a sandwich box looks like it's rooting at the join between leaf and now nonexistent stem. So, Houston, we have propagation!

I planted my rooted in water leaf and the leaf has wilted and shrivelled, is this right? Luckily I have babies growing from a leaf in a sandwich box.

When did you plant it? It may be taking its time to recover from the shock of moving from water to soil.
