RE: 2025 - Freecycle and similar Free stuff - Veggie - 12-12-2025 [attachment=8604] Yesterday, I collected these plates & bowls. They match my favourite tea mug although "my" bee flies horizontally! I thought of you SC. ![]() Today was a cupboard clearout - all food in date for once!. Tins of soup, baked beans, chickpeas, potatoes & rice pudding, chicken meatballs in sauce, pasta sauce and cornflakes, rich tea biscuits, pasta, salmon paste. I can almost predict the items that will be cleared out of someones cupboards. There's always soup, beans, chickpeas, potatoes, rice pudding (usually tomatoes and tinned peaches.) Problem is - these are the tins that will loiter in my cupboard too! RE: 2025 - Freecycle and similar Free stuff - Small chilli - 12-12-2025 I do like your new crockery. Very nice. RE: 2025 - Freecycle and similar Free stuff - Veggie - 12-12-2025 Just been to the £5 Pantry as they'd been given lots of food with a short expiry date. Collected some Cheese, Quorn fillets, some Tesco party food, Soreen malt loaves, chocolate brownies, lots of bread & croissants, crisps, orange juice, cans of Tango, tangerines with leaves, lemons, carrots, avocado, portobello mushrooms, Uncle Ben's Korean rice & two tins of tuna. I'll give some bread and croissants to my 90+ year old neighbour tomorrow. RE: 2025 - Freecycle and similar Free stuff - Bren - 13-12-2025 I called at the Church yesterday much later then usual and was surprised how much was still available. Came home with 2 rather nice 'Halkidiki and Kalamata olive Breads' not something I've had before. RE: 2025 - Freecycle and similar Free stuff - Veggie - 13-12-2025 I really like those Olive Breads, Bren. Lovely with cheese -- like a poor man's pizza.
RE: 2025 - Freecycle and similar Free stuff - Bren - 13-12-2025 Veggie I like them toasted then spread with butter. The majority of the loaves have been sliced and frozen. RE: 2025 - Freecycle and similar Free stuff - Veggie - 16-12-2025 IN today from a regular - mostly meat . Lamb shank in mint gravy, roast chicken. chicken kebabs and chicken kievs. Children's ready meals - fish pie and cottage pie. (Ted will like these). Also bread rolls, ready to roll puff pastry and some chilled coffee drinks.
