Mamzie, I ordered the Big Box of Pulses and 2 Mystery boxes. The roasted peas were in the mystery boxes.
I've been nibbling on the Roasted Yellow Peas with Sea Salt and Cider Vinegar all afternoon...............and wondering how to make them myself.

Just had another Hodmedod's order delivered.
I only wanted some oats for porridge but got a bit carried away with their Mystery Boxes, which aren't always available. I kept adding more and more boxes, first to increase to £40 for free P&P and then to over £50 to use a £5 discount voucher!! I can justify anything to myself.
Each of the 4 Mystery boxes had the same contents, most of which are new to me - hope I like them!
Pure Oaty Oat milk
Roasted green peas
Whole Yellow peas
Red Carlin peas (as cooked earlier this week!)
Green Pea chips (in other words, broken bits of peas - good for making mushy peas apparently).
Organic Wheat Flakes
Wholegrain Spelt flour.
Think its time to find my breadmaker!

You won't be surprised to hear that my grand plan of sowing Hodmedod's peas & beans didn't happen. However, I'm about to sow a few Red Fox Carlin peas that I've kept back from the packet I'm currently cooking.

There are 3 different subscription levels - the cheapest is Seedling at £20 a month. In return, you get £20 of vouchers to pay for products. Its a standing order but can be cancelled at any time, or you can skip a month.
Thought I'd give it a go as there's nothing to be lost, The vouchers are undated and can, even, be gifted to someone else, I need to refresh my collection of dried foods and I like Hodmedod's ethics.
My plan is to put in an order for £40 every 2 months. £40 is the Free P&P level.

Hodmedod's have started a "Pulse Club" that costs £25 every two months - although it can be cancelled or suspended whenever you like. For your £25, you receive a collection of unusual pulses that aren't available in sufficient quantity to sell normally.
In #15 above, I said that I'd joined the Pioneers Club and have been receiving £20 of vouchers every month. I've just "spent" some of these vouchers by joining the "Pulse Club". (still with me?).
The Pulse Club bundle includes:-
Scarlet Runner beans
Naked Fava Beans
Borlotti
Whole Yellow peas
Brown Winter peas
Olive green lentils
Whole Carlin peas
Wholemeal Lentil flour.
It has dawned on me that, by buying dried beans & peas from Hodmedod, I am saving myself the annual heartache of trying to grow beans and peas for drying - as I always fail! Henceforth, I will only grow beans and peas for eating fresh, in the pod.
The keen eyes amongst you will have realised that Scarlet Runner beans are your commonly grown Runner beans so I can grow these for eating "green" and the same with the "Borlotti" beans - so that's 2 packets of seed that I don't need to buy!
The Carlin peas are good for pea shoots as well as cooking.
My New Challenge is to eat my way through some of my dried bean store!! Need to make room for incoming supplies.

I've started making inroads in my Hodmedod stockpile! Made a loaf of bread with some very old Spelt flour. It didn't rise very much but, I can always use it as a brick in the rockery! I'll try a slice tomorrow.
Also put some Carlin peas to soak for pea shoots.
