RE: Multi-purpose Sunflowers - JJB - 05-05-2026 Oooh err, I'll have to look to see if I've got any tall sunflower seeds, if I have, I'm in, if they germinate, they'll be way out of date. RE: Multi-purpose Sunflowers - Vinny - 06-05-2026 I'll hang fire on my entry until I get past the seedling stage if you don't mind. Intend to sow mine in the greenhouse but I know the little critters get in there as well so will need to chop a bit of fleece off to cover pot from those damm meeces and slugs!
RE: Multi-purpose Sunflowers - Veggie - 06-05-2026 I've been digging out my sunflower seed hoard! How embarrassing. The tallest ones (according to the blurb) are Russian Giant, Mongolian Giant, Titan & Kong which is multi-headed. Most of my seeds are out of date or nameless ones that I've been given at seed swaps. It'll be pot luck if any giant sunflowers grow! A couple of years ago I scattered sunflower seeds where I wanted a patch of sunflowers. The following day, all the seeds had been eaten - so I won't be doing that again! |
