I used an online planner when I designed my kitchen layout.I did a lot of 'Tweaking' when I actually came to install my kitchen as in reality it wasn't the way I had envisaged it? It did mean I had too few bench top electrical sockets as some were under the bench unused which would have been better above the bench and more useable? All I am saying is be prepared to change stuff a bit when installing?
I am sure your planning will be better than mine though!

I had a local kitchen company draw up a plan which I didn't like at all. They give you something that ticks all their boxes but isn't always functional, IMO. so I changed it! They wanted to put wall cupboards everywhere (obviously costs more!) but I hate cupboards over worktops. They cast shadows. make the room seem smaller and are difficult to reach into when you're a little dwt.
I did "design" a movable double cupboard, on wheels, that has doors that open on both sides. I can move it around the kitchen when I feel like a change of layout, or use it as an island unit. The kitchen fitters thought it was a great idea and said they'd add it to their portfolio.

My design has been tweaked very slightly already by the planner. And to be honest I like it better. He / she only really changed one cupboard and put a hidden gap between wall and cooker which I think has to be there.

Most of today has been spent working out exactly where the tap for the bathroom sink are going. ( attaches to the wall not the sink ). This has involved a little bit of calculated guess work as far as thickness of floor tiles and cement bed they will be sat on. As we don’t have the tiles yet. Then we’ve had to build our bathroom cabinet that the sink sits on. Then go down the road to the polytunnel and retrieve the marble top that’s going to sit on the unit. Get unit, marble top and sink in exactly the right position. Then work out the hight and position of the tap above the sink. Then drill the two holes, one 50mm, one 37mm . Then mock it all up to make sure it’s right. We think so! Until it’s finally in we won’t know. Who knew drilling a couple of hole would take so long. We have to get all this sort of stuff sorted quickly. So we can finish plasterboarding. As the plasterer will be with us week after next.
Both sets of lights for the living room arrived today. So we have chosen which work best for our lampshade. There was a clear and instant winner.

Bob fitted our new back door today. I did a bit of filling gaps between plasterboards (where needed) and taping. A small amount of mind melting research.
