RE: The build - Small chilli - 17-04-2025 Our garden now looks like the Somme ![]() To be honest I’ve not had a lot to do with it. I did help measure & mark out . [attachment=8156] after [attachment=8157] Lots of other trenches [attachment=8158] [attachment=8159] [attachment=8160] [attachment=8161] [attachment=8162] RE: The build - Small chilli - 17-04-2025 Breeze inspecting the trenches [attachment=8163] Well there’s no where else he could get a drink ![]() RE: The build - Mark_Riga - 17-04-2025 (16-04-2025, 04:33 PM)Small chilli Wrote: I’m hoping there will be a bit of gravel left over. I want that for my paths in the garden. The best way to do this is take what you need for the paths out first then the just make the rest do. You could always supplement it with some of your own gravel, if you have some, at the bottom. I’d need 8 of those bags for my paths.(16-04-2025, 04:33 PM)Small chilli Wrote: I’m hoping there will be a bit of gravel left over. I want that for my paths in the garden. RE: The build - Bren - 18-04-2025 I thought Breeze was hiding ![]() RE: The build - Small chilli - 18-04-2025 Just in case you couldn’t judge how big the hole was in yesterday’s photos. [attachment=8167] Bob venturing into it for the first time. We now have a concrete pad in the bottom of the big hole . That’s what we’ve been up to this morning. [attachment=8168] Luckily finished just before the rain started. RE: The build - Small chilli - 22-04-2025 So the day started with pumping out the big hole and the ditches. Under the supervision of water obsessed skew. [attachment=8174] Then our delivery of 18 tonnes of gravel arrived [attachment=8175] A lot earlier than expected. Then we put our treatment plant in the big hole [attachment=8176] . Then we re took all the levels. Oops that’s not right. It still wasn’t right after the next 3 attempts. The treatment plant came out of the hole. All the concrete we laid on Friday had to go [attachment=8177] [attachment=8178] . Also dig down a little deeper This has been my view for some of today [attachment=8179]. Hole now had it levels taken many many times and the replacement concrete mixed, poured and levelled . Luckily not nearly as much needed. We will try that again tomorrow! RE: The build - Veggie - 22-04-2025 I feel exhausted just reading all that you've done today. Good luck for tomorrow. |
